Far less Capacity in Utilization Inquiry chart than schedule

Hello,

We have 23 hours per day loaded and scheduled for a particular resource. However, in the Utilization Inquiry, it is showing only 16 hours of capacity in the data. Does anyone else have this problem or does anyone know why this is and how to correct it?

I see now that in the Weekly Calendar, there is a Resource ID ** All ** that has these hours. So now my question is, why is Utilization Inquiry using this calendar and how do I stop that?

The "All" calendar is the default calendar for scheduling unless you set one up for a resource specifically.

Yes, which I have. I have this resource set specifically for 23 hours of capacity, however it is using the default "ALL" calendar but only in the Utilization Inquiry window. All other places it is scheduling just fine using the Specific calendar I have setup.

I wish I knew how that report calculates. I use Crystal Reports to pull info from VISUAL and whenever I do calculations on utilization in CR they do not match VISUAL. I know that CR pulls "live" data and VISUAL is dependent on the scheduler running for it's reporting (I believe this to be true) but my numbers are often way off. I asked our IT Director if he could show me the query VISUAL uses for utilization but he said you can't access it. Now your question adds to the list of mysteries of utilization
