XRL Formula

Hi All,

Does anyone know if its possible to have one Summary Link XRL formula going across 2 Financial Years.

I have a client who wants to be able to run Management Reports across 2 Financial year. I could pull out one formula into one cell and then pull out the following year into another cell and then add both together, but I was hoping to only have one cell with both these figures together.

Any help would be appreciated.

Absolutely. E.g. put 2017 in cell A1, 2018 in cell B1 and then, in the summary link, in the Filter From box, put $A$1, and in the Filter To box put $B$1.

Is it to add two WHOLE financial years together (periods 1-12)? Or is it say period 9 in 2017 to period 3 in 2018? if its the first one, then Sues below suggestion will work. If its the second then it wont & as far as we can see in here, your only option is to do as you say, have two columns, add them together in a third & hide the other two that have the summary links in them. Cheers

I think you will find for nominal transactions there is a direct correlation between "Entry Date" and year&period.

So create a formula in Excel to convert year&period to start and end Entry Date and use these cells for your filter range.
