Advanced Material Planning Module
Legacy Contributor
Good Morning,
I was curious if anyone was using the Advanced Planning Module for Visual. I am aware that this application is used for build to stock strategies. I am trying to understand if this module has the capability for campaign runs as well. Any insight is appreciated.
Thank you,
Michelle

Hi Michelle - I think you need to let us know more about "campaign" runs - my understanding of the Advanced Planning Module is that it breaks up the Material Planning Window into buckets, and has little to do with campaign runs. There are several methodologies for attacking campaigns. What we need to know is are you planning on running the finished good, or the unit you sell, in campaigns or the sub-assembly - here is a for instance - a lotion manufacturer makes many lotions with shea butter in them. Medicated lotion, baby lotion, shampoo, etc. - they can't run these finished goods as a campaign - but they could group all the orders for x period and run all the shea butter at the same time. Give us some more detail on what exactly you mean by "campaig runs", tellus a little more about what you make, where you are in your implementation, who your using to do the implementation, etc.
