Is there a way to make RQH_APPROVAL_VAL or any other amount variables easier to read?

Instead of 000000000030.5000, it would display $30.50.

At the Start, declare a variable.

Type: Double

Var Name: app_val

Expression: round(RQH_APPROVAL_VAL , 2)

I now have a REQLINE Lawson Query and I'm needing to round Unit Cost in the Msg Builder node inside the query. I declared the new variable in the Start node, but I receive undefined when trying to use it.

RQH_APPROVAL_VAL is a global variable created by the application when it triggers a workunit. It is therefore available for use anywhere within the flow that is triggered. Your unit cost variable won't be.

In your start node declare a variable; but don't assign it a value

After your REQLINE Query add an assign node

Then in your assignnode:

your variable from start node = round(LwsnQuery9340_UNIT_COST,2)
