XRL vbscript and msscript may be unregistered

Hi All,

I have started getting a number of Windows 10 machines on different sites complaining when logging in to XRL that "The VBScript files MSSCRIPT.OCX and VBSCRIPT.DLL may have been unregistered"

some have been fixe by running Excel as Administrator and accepting the option to try and register. some have worked by manually registering from and elevated Command Prompt and others just don't want to know.

Tried full uninstall and re-install of latest XRL

Checked the Trust Centre VBA turned on.

I think all sites are using ESET AV

Any pointers including obvious ones I may have missed greatly appreciated.

Hi Colin,



This is a problem with the latest Office update, run this in CMD to fix the problem;

"C:Program FilesCommon FilesMicrosoft SharedClickToRunOfficeC2RClient.exe" /update user updatetoversion=16.0.9330.2124



It will take anywhere between 10-30 mins to roll back the update, once completed it will work again but disable office updates until there is a patch for this so it doesn't go back to that version.
