Req Approval Question

A requester enters a requisition under their requesting location and accounting unit; however, it has multiple lines with different accounting units. We want the approvers over those accounting units to approve their part. We currently are using Req Approval and not ReqLineApproval. Is this possible under Req Approval, or will they need to enter separate requisitions?

Our organization requires separate requisitions usually. About the only time we don't is for service contracts that are charged to multiple accounting units, but are managed by a single leader. That leader is the one that it ends up going to.

I have done this in the past, you can still use Req Approval but the approvals have to be by Accounting Unit instead of Requesting Location. I created a Portal Page so Approvers would only see the lines that related to them and sent the requisition to the various approvers at each level.

All you need do is alter the ReqApproval flow. Check the lines for the GL information you want to use triggers. Set boolean flag to true when the trigger is found. Send the requisition to the appropriate approver. Hardest part is to determine the linear path the flow will take.
