Bill Only / Procedure Process

Is anyone using the Bill Only / Procedure Process in V10? I've been testing and it's not working as expected. Data I entered in the req header (RQ11.2) is being lost when I release the req and is not carrying to the PO header. Info entered at the line level (RQ23) seems OK. There seems to be a disconnect at the header level, but I'm not sure where.

I re-opened by ticket this morning. Not feeling like I'm making very much progress with Infor. I was hoping another customer had gotten this process workign and would be willing to share any lessons learned.

RQ11.2 are just the defaults for the lines and do not carry to the header. There is no header field for procedure information to be stored. PO21.6 is for creating the default procedure detail at the line level on PO20 and is not transmitted via EDI/Fax/Email and is not updated from RQ11.2

The Bill Code I enter on RQ10 is also not going to PO20.4. Wouldn't that need to be populated at the header level in order for vendors to know the PO is a bill only vs owned product? Especially, if we are going to EDI with GHX?

I will try to find the notes on the v10 upgrade - there were security changes that had to be made for the buyer to see procedure info on the PO20 line and print option changes to get the information to appear on the PO20 prt outputs. My guess is that it's not that the data isn't connected - you don't have rights to see/print it.

Kat, I'd love to see some documentation on how it's supposed to work if you have something or can point me to an article.

We have the need to use the Bill Only process much more and after some research I noticed functionality in version 10 I did not know existed, i.e., bill-only fields for doc name, procedure date, etc. I was not able to see the fields until given security to RQ23. Once this was provided, there was a button "Procedure Info" on the lines tab of RQ10 that was never there before. The info input into RQ23.1 carries over into PO20, where a similar "Procedure Info" button is visible on the Misc Details tab. Clicking that button opens RQ23.1. Note this info is at the LINE level, not the header level.

From a PO standpoint, I was scrambling to find a way to process Bill Only PO's so we could send them via EDI. In the past, I was unaware of how to differentiate Bill Only versus stuff we wanted shipped to us when sending via EDI. A chat with Support pointed to the Bill Code field (Purchasing tab in RQ10). When that field is set to BO (Bill Only), it actually flags the line so the vendor knows it is for billing purposes only. Be warned this is not universally functional at the vendor end; some have it set up to work on their side, some not. If you go down this path, you need to test on a vendor by vendor basis (ugh).

We also use the BILL ONLY code for this. Using that code also allows us to automatically receive all of the BOPO's at the end of the day using PO529 and MA531 as a multi-step

There is a header procedure information as well - Information there defaults to RQ23 and can be overwritten per line or left as is. My users tend to put in the pt info at the header and then populate the serial numbers on the lines.

Attached is what I could find. We all remember there being an issue getting the Procedure Info button to appear on PO20 but not how it was resolved. But maybe if you change the incident to not be "where is the info" to "how do I get the button on PO20" it might help it get resolved.
