Icons go Missing - Opera 3

Just wondered if anybody has seen this before.

Have a client with a couple of PC's where the ICONS on the tool bar go missing within Opera 3 now and again. One PC is windows 10 and the other windows 7.

 

The action button on SOP processing screen changes from action to an image of an envelope, clearly is something to do with the graphics on these PC's.

 

The user has to close Opera and re login in to get these back.

 

Any ideas?

This is probably a known issue:



"We have received reports of icons disappearing in Opera 3 and Opera II. Users can be affected just once, or it may happen several times a day.



Detailed investigation of this issue has shown that when Opera is run in conjunction with Microsoft Office 2010 and integrating with Outlook (e.g. emailing Sales Statements), Office overwrites Opera’s current directory, meaning that Opera can no longer locate any icon files (nor, potentially, any other items that are located via the current directory).



This issue is specific to Opera being used with Office 2010. We were unable to replicate it using Office 2013 or 2016 within the exact same environment.



Our recommendation for customers experiencing this issue is to upgrade to Office 2016. Office 2010 is now in extended support, which means Microsoft will only provide security fixes, so this issue will not be addressed."
