We intend to install Baan 5c on a windows based server, so just wanted to check on the following :
1) Which O/S should we really go for ? Is it going to be win 2003 server or win 2008 server or something else ?
2) Is oracle 11g supported on baan 5c with win yet ?
3) Can anyone provide the document no. for the installation, the one which i downloaded from inform site seems to talk about O/S 2000
Regards

Hello Neeraj,
1) * Microsoft mainstream support for Windows 2003 server ended July 13 2010
support.microsoft.com/.../
So, do not plan on installing Baan5c on Windows 2003 server. Rather look at installing it in 2008 Server if you are planning on going the Windows route. Look at the support matrix of the latest porting set (technical notes)
ftp.support.baan.com/.../Technical_Notes_PortingSet_87a01.pdf
2) yes, Oracle 11g is supported in Baan 5c, see the support matrix of the latest porting set (technical notes)
ftp.support.baan.com/.../Technical_Notes_PortingSet_87a01.pdf
3) In the infor365.com go the Software Downloads link under Resources - go to Infor - Enterprise Resource Planning - Baan 5.0c - Baan ERP 5.0c including latest Service Pack
Download the Documentation Portal Baan ERP 5.0c ENG ISO
Mount it with software such as Virtual CloneDrive (which is free)
the execute the run.bat on the root of that ISO. It will have all the documentation for Baan 5c for tools and applications available to customers.
Hope this information helps.
Regards,
Nestor.

Thanks Nestor for precise info.
Under the software download section, there is a master cd downloadable which says "Baan ERP 5.0c including latest Service Pack" so looks like this contains the base software with latest sp, where as i am looking for base/master cd with sp 19 ...is there a provision on infor site to get master cd which consists sp til 19 ? I am guessing i might have to order it from infor....correct me if i am wrong.

Yes, you are correct. If the service pack batch installer is not there in the Software Downloads area, you can request customer care to send you a CD with a Master CD and SP batch installer from base to SP19.
