Zebra Printer Labels
dechevar
My Materials Management team is finding that the labels we use for our Zebra printers tend to fade after 90-120 days and can't be scanned. This creates a lot of unnecessary work relabeling.
Are others having the same issue or have you resolved an issue like this? What type of label stock are you using? We use Zebra printers with thermal Direct printing set.
Thanks.

We are using Direct Thermal printing and are not having any fading issues. From my understanding using Thermal Transfer printing (w/ribbon) can handle more and is less sensitive to heat and light vs. Direct Thermal. We've ordered our labels through Emkat and OfficeMax.

We are also using Direct Thermal printing and are not experiencing any smearing or fading issues.

We have Zebra 105SL printers using thermal transfer. No issues with fading.

Are any of your printers set up as network printers or local?

Ours are all networked.

Thanks, and do you use the default labels for Par & Cycle or did you modify them?
Stace Webley
We modify our labels with BarTender.
lxiong3
We modify them by making adjustments on the label xml file.
