Equipment IA work instructions in Word format

Hi,

 

Is there a way to access the M3 Equipment Implementation Accelerator work instructions in Word document format? We have found an Excel file in IA M3 Equipment>Supporting Material>User Content>Content Catalog referencing the .docx files for the work instructions but unable to locate the files themselves so far. These would be very handy in setting up parts of the test plan - test cases and test steps.

Appreciate any assistance.

Hi Aleksandras,

Since January 2019 and the latest version of the Implementation Accelerators, we have stopped providing Word and Visio documentation within the IA deliverables. The reason for this is a desire for our projects to start to use Infor Business Process Modeller - which is the tool Infor uses itself to generate the IA content.



The intention being that once a project and customer is using IBPM, they get a complete copy of the IA content database and the ability to amend & extend content directly within the tool, to be able to republish an IA that is unique to each individual customer. The challenge with downloading Word and Visio (sometimes hundreds within an IA) is that is becomes difficult to track and once amended to sui individual customer project needs, the IA as purchased and accessed through Xtreme Portal, becomes redundant. We want the customer experience with IA to continue as long as possible and for the IA to grow with our customers and their business solution.



Once installed, IBPM still allows work instructions to be printed, but the amendment can be done dircetly in the tool and allow auto-updating of the visio charts directly without much more input - this is a time saver for a project, rather than a repetitive exercise of amending Word and Vision documents. The SKU to enquire about is MAVM-BPM.
