Data Iteration

Question about the input file for the Data Iterator node. With the File Access node in my flows I can use (_configuration.Tecsys_Interfaces.FileAccess.lawdir) for the file path and get to a file on our LSF server. I was hoping that the Data Iterator would do the same, apparently not. How do I get an input file into the Data Iterator that is not on my local C: drive?

It is probably looking for lawdir on the Landmark server. You need to point it to LSF server.

Use your File Access Node to access the file and then on the Data Iterator use the Input Method -Data and the Input data is the variable for the outputData of the File Access Node.

Also I put the file on the landmark server as well and still not finding it.

place the file access node just before the data iterator in your flow. Then on the input data field on the data iterator you can use the go to the variable list and choose the file access name_output variable.

Okay sort of follow that. What is the execution mode for that file access node?

I don't know if this answers your question - but I have a File Access node that takes the file from my File Channel/Receiver folder on Landmark and places it on the LSF server and then my data iterator node takes the output from the File Access node that writes the file to the LSF server as the input. But I use File Channels/Receivers to monitor for the files and those create those automatic variables that can be used. I'm definitely not an expert - I'm learning as I go.

Okay so I will be doing an ftp to get the file first. So ftp that to my LSF box. Then file access node to read the file, then data iterator?

If you need to ftp the file, and do not need to have it on the LSF server then ftp it to the Landmark server.

Thats what I am trying to do. The issue is I cannot get the data iterator to find the file on the Landmark server. what points that data iterator node to look on the landmark server for the file?
