Thank you to everyone who attended our IDP webinar! Below is a compilation of the questions asked during the session along with answers. We've organized them by topic for easier navigation. Link at the end for the YT video.
Licensing & Availability
Q: Is IDP standard with Infor Cloud? How can I tell if we have IDP?
A: Document Processor will appear in your list of Applications on Portal. It is not a standard part of Infor OS—you need the Velocity Suite.
Q: Just want to confirm the Velocity Suite is required to leverage this capability.
A: Yes, Velocity Suite is a prerequisite for IDP.
Q: Do we need to purchase a separate license to access IDP in MT LNCE?
A: Yes, you need the Velocity Suite.
Q: Is this available for Gov Cloud?
A: Currently, IDP is not supported in Gov Cloud. The goal is to have it certified for the 2026.10 release.
Q: Can IDP operate with on-premise v10 Infor? If not, is there an Infor-provided OCR for v10?
A: IDP cannot operate with on-prem as it is a purely multi-tenant solution and requires an MT instance of Infor OS. The alternative for on-prem is our IDM Capture solution (using Ephesoft).
Q: We currently run SyteLine on-prem. Do we need to be running SyteLine in the cloud to use IDP?
A: Yes, cloud is required to use IDP.
Q: Where does one get information on the Velocity Suite?
A: You can find information here: https://www.infor.com/platform/velocity-suite
Getting Started & Configuration
Q: How do you open the Document Processor tab? Do I open it from the navigation menu or OS?
A: You can find Document Processor in the Navigation Menu under Applications (if you have Velocity Suite).
Q: Is it plug and play or is some configuration needed?
A: It's plug and play. A few feature flags need to be enabled, and after that you should be ready to use IDP.
Q: In Document Processor, I only have "Text" available, not Document Class, Entity, or Tables. Is this a configuration issue?
A: This is likely a configuration issue. You should see additional data types beyond Text. Please reach out to Rohan.Somasundaram@infor .com so we can take a look.
Document Processing Capabilities
Q: To make sure I understand—if a vendor sends one PDF file that actually has two invoices in it, can IDP identify and separate both invoices?
A: Yes, that's correct.
Q: Can we copy the prebuilt model and then add any custom values?
A: Yes, you can do this.
Q: Which out-of-the-box document flows are available?
A: There's a document flow for Invoice classification and a document flow for Signed documents.
Q: When the document has been extracted, is there a way to manually change values if there was an error on the extraction?
A: Yes, there is an error handling mechanism and UI in RPA that you can use to do so.
Q: Is it possible to receive XML invoices via API and process the information in IDP?
A: No, we don't currently have the ability to read invoices in XML format. It's on our roadmap.
Multi-Language & Regional Formats
Q: Do you have to create separate workflows for each language?
A: Yes, you would set up a separate workflow depending on the language for best results.
Q: To be clear—the prompt is written in one language, but processing the document includes translation so it's not necessarily looking for the word "Invoice," but whatever "Invoice" is in German, Hungarian, Chinese, etc.?
A: Yes, you would set up a separate workflow depending on the language for best results.
Q: How does IDP handle dates when they could be DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY? We have invoices in multiple date formats but need them stored as MM/DD/YYYY.
A: Date handling is dynamic. IDP will pull the date into the format that you define in the prompt.
RPA Integration
Q: How does RPA use Document Processor flow?
A: RPA ingests the GUID that a Document Processor Flow generates, and you can use this GUID in your RPA workflow when calling IDP. This will leverage a specific Document Processor flow that you want to use for your use case.
Q: Will there be a possibility to send invoices via email to IDP?
A: This can be done using RPA to monitor an email inbox and pull attachments from messages. However, you won't be able to send an email itself to IDP to scan a document.
Q: We receive a lot of invoices every day through an unmonitored mailbox—how can these get uploaded to IDP?
A: RPA combined with IDP can make this work. RPA can read the mailbox and send the documents to IDP for processing.
Q: Do we have a full flow demo of RPA using IDP, including reading invoices from email?
A: Not in this session, but we can schedule a separate session to show how IDP works as part of an RPA workflow.
Q: Once the data fields are identified, what can you do with it? Approval routing based on order number? Check that data is valid—correct order number, vendor number, item on the PO, etc.?
A: Yes to all of the above. You can use Robotic Process Automation to use the extracted data as part of your workflow.
ERP Integration
Q: Will this be able to create records in SyteLine?
A: Yes, using RPA you can create a record in the ERP with the extracted data.
Q: Will you be demonstrating how this extracted data is consumed in the backend ERP, like SyteLine?
A: Not in this session, but we can schedule a separate session to show how IDP works as part of an RPA workflow.
Q: Line items—we have different item numbers than some of our vendors. As long as those are set up in SyteLine correctly, will IDP know or learn to select the correct item number from the invoice?
A: That can absolutely be done. You can use RPA to map item numbers to the vendor's item numbers and select them accordingly.
Mongoose & Custom Applications
Q: We don't have SyteLine, but we have several developments in Mongoose Cloud. Could we integrate this functionality with Mongoose?
A: Sure—this can be done!
Q: Could we use this capability with just Mongoose in our own developments?
A: We would need to know the use case, but as long as you have MT Infor OS, you will have the ability to use IDP. If the question is whether you can use IDP with Mongoose-based applications, then the answer is yes.
Technical Architecture
Q: Is there RAG in this LLM?
A: Yes, our Gen AI platform uses Retrieval Augmented Generation, and we leverage the LLM through our Gen AI platform for IDP. So by proxy, the LLM uses RAG.
Q: Does IDP consume Gen AI tokens?
A: There are tokens allocated separately for IDP (unlimited as part of the Velocity Suite) that don't count toward the Gen AI bucket. Because Velocity Suite includes unlimited use, you don't need to worry about token usage for IDP.
Compliance
Q: Is the PathLab example HIPAA compliant?
A: IDP is NOT HIPAA compliant. The PathLab example was for demonstration purposes only with no PII. However, IDP does not store any PII.
Training & Resources
Q: How do you get certified in Value Plus? Any link?
A: There are links to content as part of Value+. Please reach out to Max Fisher regarding this content: Max.Fisher@infor .com
Q: Can we complete the challenges without having Velocity Suite?
A: You can complete the Challenges that don't require Velocity Suite. Currently we have challenges on IDP, AI, Data Fabric, ION, and API Gateway. More coming soon!
Q: Will this presentation be available later?
A: Yes, the presentation will be available for on-demand viewing following the webinar.
